Is The Moment of Death or The Moment of Birth affect you more?

Answer

I had to face both of these moments within a year of each other. My brother, whom I loved very dearly, passed away in December and the following year in October, my wife and I had our first child. From that, I have to say that the birth had the longer, stronger effect on me. This is not to say the death of my brother did not affect in a tragic way because it did. I think in some way, it was a choice that I made. I choose to focus on the birth on my daughter instead the pain of loosing my brother. Also, the timing could of had something to do with it also. Maybe if these moments were reversed, I would of reacted differently towards each.
